Man and The Ego Problem
Just another story of Ego Problem: It was Monday and he was following his normal week routine, again. To start off the week on a time disciplined note he did his homely duties of morning and got ready assuring himself to reach in time. But it was not to happen that way. Because Just when he stepped outside his home and got on his old motorbike, he saw a man was honking horn sitting inside (with A/C on, most probably)his newly bought Volkswagen Sedan because an unknown bike was wrongly parked. Maybe he was trying to call the owner of bike and to give him a lesson on how to park a vehicle. But when no one seem to be coming on the spot, and watching this drama of non-stop honking for 2-3 minutes, He got off his Old motorbike and silently adjusted the bike in a right manner. Instead of going first through the own created path he welcomed the Man in Sedan to seize the opportunity. And what he did! He just slid down the window automated with latest technology and sending his smirked thanks through that half opened window, sped off. He just shook his head in acknowledgement & was on his bike to go to work.
Albeit he reached his office in time and was happy in the end but what he witnessed today represents a Human Trait known as “Ego“.
Number of times this happens to most of us.
Street is for everyone living in the locality or the new person arriving/leaving. One has to understand the gravity of the
situation and act accordingly. “He” portrays an intelligent common man who understands his social duties and after very well judging the whole scene acted in a manner which is admirable, trendsetter. He got his reward in receiving thanks but moreover he reached office in time.
But Man in Sedan in actuality got nothing, got under debt of his. He would live in his what he thinks “the air conditioned” world of insatiable Ego.
Man in Sedan was a young resident of the same street and he lived in a house fourth to his in opposite side.
